September 10, 2005. The 47th annual F.A.R. FEST (FOUNDATION for AMATEUR RADIO) was held at the Montgomery County Agriculture Center (fairgrounds) in Gaithersburg, MD. It is a two day event and there was an excellent showing of AM'ers the first day (Sept 10th) when I attended (Ken W2DTC). Thanks to Frank KB3AHE, John W3JN and Steve WB3HUZ, who put the Special Events Station together, making the fester a huge success for AM'ers.
