March 4, 2006. The Splitrock Amateur Radio Association (SARA) held another first of the season hamfests in the Police Athletic League Building in Parsippany, NJ. They had a larger room this year; however there was no tailgating.
-3: There were a few boatanchors, but the overall impression was "sparce" when compared to last year.
 Yes, a Mallory vibrator tester.
-8: There were lots of parts to be had at this fester.
I bought this coil for a new 160 meter amp project, plus a few misc parts.
And the usual sense of humor in the fraternity.
 Pete WA2CWA, the manual man.
 Abe WB2PQR.
 Marty WB2FOU.
There were quite a few buyers looking for bargins.
AMSAT had a booth as usual at Splitrock.
The refreshment stand was doing a very good business.
The only outside vendor was not a "tailgater" in the usual sense. It apppears that the heavy snow the day before the fester curtailed the outside activitiy.
