March 4, 2006. The Splitrock Amateur Radio Association (SARA) held another first of the season hamfests in the Police Athletic League Building in Parsippany, NJ. They had a larger room this year; however there was no tailgating.

1-3: There were a few boatanchors, but the overall impression was "sparce" when compared to last year.
4: Yes, a Mallory vibrator tester.

6-8: There were lots of parts to be had at this fester.
9: I bought this coil for a new 160 meter amp project, plus a few misc parts.
10: And the usual sense of humor in the fraternity.

16: There were quite a few buyers looking for bargins.
17: AMSAT had a booth as usual at Splitrock.
18: The refreshment stand was doing a very good business.
19: The only outside vendor was not a "tailgater" in the usual sense. It apppears that the heavy snow the day before the fester curtailed the outside activitiy.
