May 13, 2006. The Kutztown Antique Radio Swapmeet for Spring 2006 was held at the Renningers Antique and Farmers Markets in Kutztown, PA. This event was hosted by the Delaware Valley Historic Radio Club and the weather was excellent.  While the majority of the radios were those wonderful polished mahogany gems, there were several amateur radio boatanchors among the collector's radios.  I met my friend Jim KN3DZY and after the making a number of passes of the goody tables, we traveled to Yocco's, near New Tripoli, PA.

A Crosley "PUP":  Wow, a one tube radio worth $300.  Clearly it must be must be one of those rare collectibles.

Jim, KN3DZY, takes his new Hallicrafter's S-76 out to the car.  It was in great shape and Jim said that he plugged it in at home and it works.

The Delaware Valley Historic Radio Club set up a tiny AM transmitter on 1150 kHz that played old time music so those mahogany beauties could sing.

Jim, KN3DZY and I visited Yocco's and between the two of us we consumed two cheese steaks and eight Yocco hot dogs.  Jim opened up his laptop computer and showed me photos of his recent trip to New Orleans to help the needy.  Utter devastation to just about everyone down there.

My one and only purchase.  A portable FM, AM and TV with decent audio and it works!
