November 17-18, 2007.  Our trip south included a visit to see granddaughter Lauren, daughter Sherry and her husband Chuck.  We arrived late on the 17th and had an evening snack at Ruby Tuesday's and the next day it was lunch at Panera's.

Chuck offered to cook his famous ribs at the Columbus Airport, where Chuck and Sherry own an airplane.  Paddy and I quickly took Chuck up on his offer and we stopped at the grocery store for some salad accessories.  While there, Lauren found an admirer.

At the airport, Chuck removed the ribs from the smoker, applied another coat of his secret, magic sauce with his "mini-mop" as Paddy looked on.

One of Chuck and Sherry's friends, Tripp, is a corporate jet pilot.  Tripp was kind enough to show us his "office".  It was an amazing aircraft.

What a magnificent way to travel, Paddy was ready to board the plane for another vacation.  Thanks Tripp for the excellent tour !

Back at the smoker, the master chef is making the final preparations and then cutting the ribs into the bite size strips.

In New Jersey, a barbeque is usually hot dogs and hamburgers.  Paddy and I learned what a real barbeque is and how serious barbeque is in Georgia and most of the south.  The cooks have their coveted secret sauces and attend BBQ contests (local, regional, state wide and out of state) with trophies, money and most important: bragging rights.

Chuck, Sherry and Lauren have some very nice friends and we enjoyed their company.
