March 3, 2008. Paddy and I were never inside the Philadelphia Convention Center so we thought the Philadelphia Flower Show was a venue to check it out.
1101 Arch Street, right across the street from the Reading Terminal Market.
Naturally, flowers were everywhere, but we found the giant, realistic, home, patio and garden displays to be the most interesting. The theme this year was Jazz 2008 in the New Orleans tradition.
The theme of New Orleans Jazz brought out the saxophones. As a saxophone player, Ken thought some of them would actually play, but alas, they were filled with flowers, or were squirting water or were in the flowers.
There was live entertainment in the New Orleans Tradition and it was good.
It's good that Imus wasn't here to see this.
