April 12, 2008. The Jersey Shore Amateur Radio Society (JSARS) held it's 12th annual hamfest at Riverwood Park in Lakewood, New Jersey. With only 10 outside sellers and 2 inside sellers, it was one of the smallest hamfests I have attended to date. The weather guessers predicted rain and that probably was a major contributing factor. It was in fact a very nice sunny morning.
There were inside sales but they were rather sparce. They also had food and beverages for sale.
A few boatanchors were for sale. A Bird 43 with 5 slugs for $325. A great looking R-388 for $500.
A pair of Gonset rigs for $40 and other misc gear.
It was a nice area for a fest and the weather was great.
